There are many people who are not aware of all the games that are played in online and real casinos but one game that almost everyone knows about is, Poker. Everyone seems to be familiar with this very popular casino game, but if you do not posses the basic knowledge about the different versions of poker, then do so now. Based on the various statistics and opinions from gamblers, better or Omaha 8 is one of the most profitable and ‘in-demand’ versions of poker.

A player with the highest hand and a player with a very low qualifying hand at the shutdown in Omaha 8 or Better split the pot. The popularity of Texas Hold’em is very similar to Omaha poker and both can be played either in a televised tournament or at a table. The method used for playing Texas Hold’em is more or less the same as Omaha poker. One difference between these two variants is that in Omaha 8 four hole cards are dealt in the beginning and not two. At the end of the game, only two cards are used by the players to complete a hand.

Other widely dealt and famous versions of poker are 5 card stud and 7 card stud. According to the game, players are dealt with 5 or 7 cards, face down. It is not difficult to learn these games. In a 5 card stud, when the game starts 5 cards face down are dealt for every player. One betting round is played and then at least three cards can be discarded by the players. They can then replace those cards with same amount of cards from the deck. When another betting round takes place, every player shows his or her cards and the one who has the highest hand, and accordingly there is a declaration of the winner of the pot.

Another version of poker is Chicago, which has a lot of similarities with 7-card stud game. But in this game, the pot is split by a high spade in the hole. Lowball is a poker version where five cards are dealt to players initially and is played in the same manner as 5 card draw. But in this case, the most important aim is getting the worst hand because the player with the lowest hand qualifies and not the highest one. Because of the ranking of cards, this game is easy to play.

Omaha High (Omaha) is very similar to Texas Hold'em, but has a greater variety of possibilities thereby making for some extremely exciting games.

Omaha is a community card game. Omaha is played the same as Hold'em with the following two exceptions: 1)Each player receives four face-down cards (pocket cards) to start. 2)At the showdown each player must use exactly two of their four pocket cards and combine them with exactly three boardcards.

In Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or better (Omaha Hi/Lo) the pot is split 50-50 between the best High Hand and the best qualifying Low Hand. Omaha Hi/Lo requires a lot of skill and usually takes a little practice to understand the intricacies of the game. Omaha Hi/Lo is structurally played the same as Omaha High except that the highest hand wins 50% of the pot and the lowest qualifying hand wins 50% of the pot. A Low hand must be high card "8 or better" to qualify. To be eligible to win the Low, the highest card must be a 5, 6, 7, or 8. The winning Low Hand (8 or better) is determined firstly by the player with the lowest High card. Upon a tie with the High card, the hand goes to the player with the next lowest High card. Any hand that is high card 9 or higher can NOT qualify as a Low Hand.
